SPI

SPI, Sonography Principles and Instrumentation is a basic course in learning Diagnostic ultrasonography and echocardiography. The course covers all the required knowledge to understand and operate the ultrasound machine. It also deeply discusses the physics of sound and it’s interactions with human body. Each SPI session is consisted of Theory and practical parts. In the practical sessions apart from acquiring the skill of working with the machine, students are acquainted with different diagnostic sonography specialities.

Abdomen

This speciality is a must for every sonographer to learn. It mainly deals with ultrasound of abdominal organs as well as small parts such as Breast,Thyroid and Scrotum in normal and pathologic states. Abdominal sonography the most widely used technique in the field of ultrasound imaging.

   Ultrasound uses sound waves to evaluate normal and abnormal organs. This modality is completely painless and safe and can be done quickly,  has no radiation exposure, and is inexpressive  compared to other imaging techniques.Studies found that the number of Abdominal sonographies performed in the US grew 4% every year from 1996 to 2010!The sessions of this course consist of theory and practical components.

OB & GYN

OB & GYN: This speciality is devoted to Care and follow up of the baby and mother during pregnancy. Fetal congenital anomalies can be detected early in pregnancy to help health care professional to take appropriate actions in time. The Gynecologic part of the course covers Female genital organs in disease and health.

MSK - Muscleoskeletal

Musculoskeletal. Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to produce pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints throughout the body. It is used to help diagnose sprains, strains, tears and other soft tissue conditions. This speciality is very rapidly developing and has a high grade of popularity.The course is composed of 12 session each of which consists of theory and practical parts. Detailed descriptive anatomy is what the applicants should get mastered upon before starting the course.

Vascular

Vascular Technology(VT) is the speciality dealing with conditions of the Arterial and Venous systems. In the course diseases of Arterial and Venous systems and the tests that are used to diagnose them are discussed in detail. Thorough knowledge of vascular anatomy is a pre- requisite to start the course.
